What is a Car Viny Wrap?

A car viny wrap refers to the aftermarket practice of partially or fully covering a car’s original paint in some way with a plastic wrap of another color, and at times even the same shade with a different finish such as a glossy, satin or Matt protective layer. The process is simple enough: once you have purchased the car that you wish to cover, get an adhesive gun (a must have tool in any car modifications project) and heat it up until it is red hot, then simply apply the viny wrap by pressing it against the car’s surface with great pressure and even pressure if need be, being careful not to let it flake or tear up the paint because that will just damage the paint further. You may also want to lightly sand the outside of the wrap so that it matches the original finish of your car, which you can accomplish by rubbing the car’s surface with medium grade sandpaper. For those who prefer to avoid the hassle of sanding and spraying the paint, there is the option of using a plasticizer. This is applied over the top of the wrap and helps the paint stick to the plastic wrap. Click Here – visit page

Why your need to know about a Car Viny Wrap?

Although this procedure is not difficult, the results are not always what one would hope for. A car wrap may protect a car’s paint from the elements, but when the weather is really bad (especially when driving in rain or sleet) it tends to rub off the topcoat of the paint and expose the undercoats. This is why it is a better idea to stick to protecting the paint from the elements during normal car usage. If you must drive in pouring rain or sleet, make sure you put on the proper car cover for your type of car. The car’s cover should protect the car’s paint from the elements and keep it looking nice for the time being.

Another problem faced with using this type of car wrap is that the original finish of your car will not be able to be completely removed. In order to remove the excess plastic wrap, you will need to paint the vehicle from the inside out. Although this process is time consuming, it can be done to get your car’s true beauty back. There is no sense in having a car wrap if it does not add anything to the car’s appearance and is not removable once it is wrapped up.
